Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant, as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
